GFC Treatment
Growth Factor Concentration (GFC) treatment is a relatively new venture for hair loss, where growth factors from the patient’s blood are used to help treat the lost hairs. This is a similar treatment to the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy but with a well-refined methodology to ensure highly concentrated growth factors.
Benefits OF GFC Treatment
Enhanced Growth Factors: High-concentration growth factors in GFC refers to better refinement as compared to PRP, which may increase the effectiveness in eliciting hair growth stimulus.
Natural: GFC employs the same principle as PRP, where blood from the patient himself is used, thus ensuring minor risk of adverse reactions or infections.
Precipitates Hair Follicle Stimulation: It is believed that growth factors can trigger the process of endogenous regeneration of hair follicle, potentially densifying and experience thickening of hair.
Minimal Downtime: The procedure is minimally invasive, with a short recovery period, allowing patients to resume their normal activities quickly.
Safety: using patients own biological materials, it reduces the risk of complications and side effects.Non-surgical: GFC is a safe non-invasive substitute compared to surgical treatment such as hair transplant.
Add-on treatment option: Can be used in combination with other hair restoration treatments for improved total results.
How GFC Treatment Works ?
-
Blood collection: Only small volumes of the patient’s own peripheral blood are drawn.
-
Procedure: Later, in centrifugation, the blood will be processed to concentrate the growth factors and other positive media ingredients.
-
Injection: At places where the thinning or disappearance of hair occurs, the denser culture will be directly implanted to the scalp.
